Rev. Anita J. Glaster, LMSW
Rev. Glaster has earned a Masters of Social work from Our Lady of the Lake University in 2005 and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Religion from Wayland Baptist University in 2002. She was ordained in 2004 at Trinity Baptist Church, San Antonio, Texas. From May 2001 to May 2009, she volunteered with the San Antonio Victim's Advocacy Office in the Family Assistance Crisis Team (F.A.C.T.) and worked at Child Protective Services, the Battered Women's and Children's Shelter of San Antonio, and the District Attorney's Office in the Family Violence Unit. She established Excel Ministries' Progressive Women's Center in San Antonio, Texas; which has now been reestablished in Ft. Worth, Texas as Bright Morning Star Counseling Services. She has lectured and spoken throughout the San Antonio community at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSC), Our Lady of the Lake University, Excel Ministries Progressive Women's Center, and SAPD's Frontline Responder's Conference. Her future goals are to offer support to continue to support women through counseling and group settings to help heal and empower women in every area of their lives.
